A universal airtime voucher is a PIN your recipient redeems for airtime on a supported network. You choose the value and quantity without deciding how many vouchers to buy for each network.
For a campaign offering R20 airtime to 1,000 participants, order 1,000 universal PINs. Each recipient redeems their PIN on their own supported network.

Create a business account, fund your wallet and order universal airtime PINs in the value and quantity you need.
Give recipients their PIN
Download PINs for your own distribution or use the optional SMS service. SMS delivery needs a mobile number, but buying the PIN does not need the recipient's network.
Recipients redeem via USSD
Recipients use the supplied USSD instruction from the phone that should receive the airtime. Online redemption is also available.

Do I need to know each recipient's network?
No. Choose the value and quantity when ordering universal PINs. The recipient redeems their PIN on their supported network.
Which networks are supported?
The published product terms cover prepaid airtime on Vodacom, MTN, Telkom and Cell C in South Africa. Contact Freepaid if you need to confirm a particular mobile service before planning your campaign.
What voucher values can I order?
Order whole-rand voucher values from R2 to R999. Choose the quantity to suit your campaign and available wallet balance.
What should I include in the campaign budget?
Start with voucher quantity multiplied by the face value. Include optional SMS delivery and any applicable USSD charges separately. Review the current commercial terms on the business registration page before purchasing.
Does the PIN supply airtime or a data bundle?
The universal PIN redeems to airtime. Recipients may convert airtime to data through their own network's normal process, subject to that network's available products and terms.

Yes. The public Vendor API documentation covers registration, balance checks, voucher ordering and order retrieval. Read the API documentation for the current contract.
